Christmas is only days away and I am pretty excited about the upcoming festivities. I just hosted a small Christmas party for my Life Group from church complete with a hot chocolate bar! A fun time was had by all!
During the Christmas season, I take time to study the story of the birth of Jesus. A story that you and I hear every Christmas. But a beautiful one, nonetheless.
For the past few days, I reflected on how Mary felt when she received news that she would bear the Messiah. Shocked. Scared. She may have been scared, but she was also humbled and honored. More importantly she trusted the Lord to work out all of the details. She could have faced death. But no, she trusted the Lord. Amazing. Simply amazing.
And Joseph? What were his initial feelings when Mary revealed that she was pregnant? Confused. Betrayed. Angry. Scared.
Well, now thanks to Jason Earl, I have a better idea of how Joseph felt about Mary’s news! He shows the story through the lens of a Modern Day Joseph. Check it out!
And if you don’t know the Christian comedian, Jason Earl, check him out here.
Merry Christmas, y’all ❤
“‘Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit’” (Matthew 1:20).
